It was very last minute, but I was thinking fish and chips and the best fish and chips are in Whitby. So I loaded up the car and with my three favourite girls we hit the road.

We stayed up on the West Cliff in Whitby which gave great views north up the coast and across the harbour. It’s still a bit new to us having a little person with you everywhere you go, but we are getting better at spotting family friendly pubs. We found one that let us stay until 9pm!

We called in a Robinhoods Bay which was just as I remembered it from years ago. We can’t wait to go back and take Lily crabbing there when she’s older. We also made it to Scarborough and I came over all 1970’s as you will see from the way I treated some of my photographs below. One of the highlights was meeting Bob the fisherman, 81 and 3/4, an amazing man with wonderful tales from his years at sea. I could have listened all day. He was kind enough to let me take his photograph, see if you can spot him below.

Anyway, enough words, enjoy the holiday snaps.
