Thornton Manor is one of the North West's most spectacular wedding estates — grand, elegant and generous with space, from the lakeside to the walled garden.
I adore photographing weddings at Thornton Manor. The scale of the estate gives so much to work with: the tithe barn, the lake, the sweeping lawns and the beautiful walled garden all lend themselves to relaxed, story-telling photography.
The lake and its far side are magical for couple portraits, especially as the light softens in the evening. The walled garden is a quieter, more intimate option, and the grand interiors are a gift when the weather turns.
My style suits Thornton perfectly — warm, documentary and never in the way. With guests spread across such a generous space, I quietly move through the day capturing the real moments while you simply enjoy it.
Thornton Manor is an easy drive from my home in Farndon, so I'm always there early to catch the calm of the morning and I know the estate's best light through every season.
